What does serving one another look like?

As we continue in this collection of talks, ‘One Another’, we look at the New Testament idea of SERVING one another…

Taking Today’s Talk Home:

 *Read Romans chapter 12.

**Think about all the commands that are used in this chapter. Make a list of every command you can find. (for example: Romans 12:1 ‘give your bodies…’, Romans 12:2 ‘don’t copy…’, etc.)

***Pray that God would open your eyes to the opportunities around you on a day-to-day, moment-by-moment basis to serve people around you. Ask that God would match your skills, your gifts and your abilities to the needs of those around you and then take the initiative and serve them.

Prayer Focus for the Week:

Dear God,

Thank you for life.

Today I give you my week, my days, my talents, my abilities, my resources and my time. As best as I know how, I present to you my eyes, ears, mouth, hands and feet – my whole being is Yours. I will go where You want me to go and do what You want me to do. I will serve You and those around me this week as You give me strength and as You guide me. With Your Spirit’s help, I will serve those around me. May my body be a worshipful, living sacrifice, pleasing and acceptable to You. And as we do this together, may all of our bodies live out Your will today.

In Jesus’ Name…Amen.

Preparing for NEXT Sunday:

Next week we discuss: FORGIVE one another.

*Take time this week to read: Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:32, I Thessalonians 5:15, I Peter 5:5, Ephesians 5:21 & James 5:16

**As you read these Scriptures consider this question:

What is the difference between forgiveness and confession?

Join us this Sunday!!

Until next time…

Blessings,

Pastor Daniel
