Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What should I expect during a service?
A: Our goal for our service is to encourage and inspire you! This service is a little over one hour in length. You’ll find our worship service will include uplifting music led by our musicians and worship team. We also have times during our service where we worship together by participating in a time of offering and a time of communion. Every service will also feature a clear, relevant & inspiring message from Pastor Daniel. To help everyone follow along you’ll oftentimes find notes handed out in weekly program. You can also choose to follow along using the notes found inside the Bible App.
Q: How should I dress?
A: There is not a dress code at First Christian Church for members or guests. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here…Just come as you are!
Q: Where should I take my children? How about my teens?
A: At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for younger children as well as fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes for children of all ages. These classes are staffed with trained, caring and competent teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Our teens have a dedicated time for them to learn with other teenagers led by our Associate Pastor, Darren Dickson. Our friendly ushers will make sure your whole family gets settled in perfectly on Sundays. They will help you locate the right place for everyone in the family and will make sure that you are completely comfortable when you visit First Christian.
Q: Am I expected to participate in the offering?
A: Of course not. We are honored that you would join us and we want our service to be our gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, practical truths from the Bible, and a place where you can grow. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
Q: What about communion?
A: We see this as a vibrant way to express our thanks to God and experience an intimate moment of personal connection with Him in the midst of the worship service. If you’ve placed your trust in Jesus Christ and strive to live for Him, we invite you to join us during this portion of the service if you’d like. If you would like more information about what it means to have a personal relationship with God, give us a call! We would have no greater privilege than to show you from the Bible what it means & how you can grow your relationship with God.
“We love because he first loved us.”
